Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Assessment
The diagnostic process can be an important avenue for gaining self-understanding for adults who suspect that they have characteristics consistent with autism. We have successfully diagnosed many men and women who meet criteria for autism.
Individuals with ASD have their own individual profile of strengths and challenges. Common characteristics include difficulty forming friendships, communication issues that might impact on relationships at home and/or at work, high levels of anxiety, and easily becoming irritated. Other common characteristics include preferring routine and not coping well with change; strong interests or obsessions, and feelings of depression. This can be caused by feeling different and having a sense of not fitting in.
We are highly experienced in conducting adult ASD assessments using gold standard assessment tools. Assessments can be conducted face-to-face or online and where found, an internationally recognised diagnosis is provided. Additionally, we provide comprehensive assessments for autism and giftedness (twice exceptional).
Ongoing support can be provided to assist with skills development in areas such as communication, as well as reviewing strategies for managing mental health concerns such as anxiety and depression.
